Over the past seven years at Leumi ABL, I’ve seen both our business and the wider ABL market evolve significantly, from broader product capabilities to meeting increasingly sophisticated client needs. In a world where continuous development is essential to remain competitive, standing still simply isn’t an option.
Today’s ABL role goes beyond traditional lending. It demands strategic thinking, relationship building and the ability to provide funding solutions to a wide range of complex and demanding needs. One example of this is working with multinational businesses, operating on a multi jurisdictional basis. The ability to provide a multi jurisdictional single funder solution provides potential clients with both consistency of funding and a significant reduction in admin. As market expectations have shifted, skillsets have expanded and we have evolved alongside the business.
That evolution is reflected in the types of transactions we are delivering. In the past 12 months, we have supported £50 million growth finance for Sigma Pharmaceuticals, provided a €101 million cross-border refinancing for bulk transport providers owned by AUCTUS Capital Partners AG, and delivered a £10 million facility to enable the merger of Mthree and Peregrine International Limited, all illustrating how ABL continues to respond to dynamic business needs.
These increasingly complex and multi-jurisdictional deals bring greater challenge, and indeed reward, as we structure solutions that genuinely help ambitious businesses thrive. The breadth of our work illustrates how we’re progressing as an adaptable funding partner, capable of navigating nuanced financial requirements.
The Advisor market is placing increased value on strong regional partnerships. Having people on the ground who understand local businesses and advisers has never been more important. This is mirrored internally too. Our regional sales team, strategically positioned across the UK, underpins our ability to deliver locally relevant solutions, supported by experienced national resource.
